The Cowboys had the sixth least rushing yards in the league last season and could use a player like Jeanty to transform their offense. FanSided's Lou Scataglia predicted the Cowboys would make a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders to acquire the No.6 overall pick and select Jeanty. "This time it's the Dallas Cowboys trading up six slots in the first round of this mock draft to take Ashton Jeanty, the talented RB from Boise State," wrote Scataglia. "Jeanty may honestly be a generational player at the RB position and someone who could be a 1,000-yard rusher each year of what is likely to be a successful NFL career." The Raiders are also looking for a running back to help lead their offense. That may make a trade top move up six spots more expensive than usual. However, Jeanty may be worth it. He fell just short of Barry Sanders' single-season rushing record, but Jeanty sat out near the end of many games where Boise State was blowing out their opponent.
