Cowboys Sign Carlos Watkins As Jordan Phillips Moves To IR + More

REUNION: The Cowboys are signing defensive tackle Carlos Watkins from the Commanders' practice squad to replace Jordan Phillips, who is heading to injured reserve (IR), according to Nicole Hutchison. Phillips is being placed on IR with a wrist injury, as reported by Todd Archer, and will miss at least the next four games. The Cowboys have struggled defensively on the interior over the first two weeks, partly due to Phillips' limited availability. In Sunday’s game, the underdog Saints pulled off a win, with Dallas allowing 190 rushing yards. Now, with Phillips sidelined, the Cowboys are turning to journeyman defensive lineman Carlos Watkins.
