Takeaways from the game
Final score Steelers 16 Cowboys 3
Cowboys unable to make a TD and miss two fieldgoals.
Steelers score two TDs and miss one fieldgoal and one extra point.
After an uneventful first half (Cowboys leading Steelers 3-0), the Steelers came back stronger in the second half to beat the Cowboys 16-3. Matthew Sexton made a 36-yard punt return early in the third quarter and the Cowboys just never seemed to come back from it.
Steelers and Cowboys defenses both looked pretty solid, Steelers pass rush putting the pressure on Dallas' quarterbacks. Steelers Dwayne Haskins, competing for the second QB position, got the most play time for the Steelers. But it was Josh Dobbs who threw the touchdown pass to Tyler Simmons.
