DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys needed some good injury news to head their way going into their Monday night football matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, and it appears they'll be getting exactly that. On Saturday morning, multiple reports surfaced that Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who has missed the last four games and three quarters with a fractured collar bone, will make his return to the lineup on Monday. Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch is slated to return Monday vs. the Cardinals. His first action since fracturing collarbone on Sept. 13 in the first quarter of the first game. LVE likely to be eased into action, the source said. Could work mostly in passing situations, non-base personnel. Also per the report, Vander Esch will likely be worked into the rotation at linebacker slowly, and will play mostly in passing situations, as well as not in base personnel groupings. Vander Esch injury the collar bone in the first quarter on the team's season opening loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He was apparently able to make a quick recovery, however, and per Cowboys COO Stephen Jones, he looks more than ready to return following his first full practice in pads since the injury on Friday. "Leighton, we feel like has a great opportunity, it'll be (a) game-time decision.
