DESCRIPTION
The 2019 season was a wild ride for Dallas Cowboys wideout Amari Cooper. There were several games which could have been considered some of the best of his career, yet there were other games where he did not seem to be the same player. On one end of the spectrum was the 11 catch, 226 receiving yard performance against Green Bay. On the other side the 6-foot-1, 210-pound receiver was held without a catch in a loss to New England.
Throughout his career, Cooper has performed at a far better rate at home than he has on the road. That lack of consistency is what has kept Cooper from being named with the game’s elite tier. That was magnified to a major degree in 2019, but road yips aren’t the sole reason for a roller coaster season. Cooper was dealing with a myriad of lower-body injuries that he fought through to play in all 16 games. After setting career highs in yardage (1,189) and touchdowns (8), many thought the sky would be the limit in 2020. But he’d have to be healthy for that to be the case and with just 13 days remaining before opening night, there is growing concern Cooper is not healthy right now.
Cooper missed team drills for the third consecutive practice on Monday.
