Dallas Cowboys Training Camp Day 11 | ​WR, RB, OL, DL, QB, & LB Update and More 2020

Observations from Cowboys training camp: Tyron Smith, La’el Collins return, participate in team drills Amari Cooper participated in the early portions of team drills and then became a spectator. CeeDee Lamb didn’t get any team work in for an undetermined reason. Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown ran with Dak Prescott. Wilson is developing into a dependable target for Prescott. He caught a touchdown pass and made an estimated four catches during the two hour practice session. Andy Dalton threw a touchdown passes to tight end Cole Hikutini and wide receiver Ventell Bryant. In a fourth-and-three situation in the red zone, Dalton connected for a touchdown throw to Rico Dowdle. Prescott is throwing the ball with more zip this year in training camp. He fired a pass over the middle to tight end Dalton Schultz for a completion and he’s getting plenty of throws downfield for completions to open targets or contested catches. Prescott threw a touchdown pass to Tony Pollard in the red zone and ran for a score with a quarterback draw as the Cowboys ran a two-point conversion play. Prescott threw a TD pass to tight end Blake Jarwin as safety Darian Thompson blitzed. Cornerback Chris Westry continues to make plays, he broke up a Prescott pass to Gallup running a go route. Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch blitzed and Ezekiel Elliott picked him up giving his quarterback time to throw the ball. It’s assumed the Cowboys will keep three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. Will Clayton Thorson be one of them? Thorson stepped up in the pocket and made a good throw to tight end Charlie Taumoepeau, but it was broken up by Trevon Diggs. On the next play, Thorson moved from the pocket, under pressure, and completed an off-balanced pass to Sean McKeon with Jaylon Smith trailing. Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence makes an impactful play nearly every practice. He stopped an end around by getting running back Tony Pollard in the backfield. In the ever-changing safety position, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix worked with Xavier Woods. However, Woods and Darian Thompson continue to face Prescott at the start of team drills. The Cowboys ran more plays in team drills on Friday, in preparation for Sunday’s scrimmage at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys are off on Saturday. Tackle Mitch Hyatt (right leg), cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (right knee), cornerback Jourdan Lewis (right ankle), linebacker Sean Lee (undetermined) and linebacker Luke Gifford (undetermined) missed practice. Awuzie watched practice from the sidelines in uniform wearing a brace on his right leg. What a sight. For first time in camp, the Cowboys’ projected starting offensive line took team drills together. LT Tyron Smith and RT La’el Collins both returned to action. Smith missed about a week with hamstring ailment.
