Cowboys CB Anthony Brown out for season. Brown (triceps) suffered the most consequential injury Sunday for Dallas versus the Lions. Cornerback Anthony Brown will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a triceps injury he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions, coach Jason Garrett announced Monday. Brown opened this season as the team’s primary nickel cornerback. Despite recently ceding that role to Jourdan Lewis, his absence is nonetheless a significant blow to the secondary. The 25-year-old has started 34 of 56 games since Dallas drafted him in the 2016 sixth round out of Purdue, including four starts this season. The injury came in the fourth quarter as part of an eventful sequence. The Cowboys have a decision to make regarding how to fill the vacancy that Brown’s impending placement on injured reserve will create. One option is to promote cornerback Donovan Olumba from the practice squad. As for the greater fallout, cornerback C.J. Goodwin figures to see additional work. He has been far more active on special teams in 2019, his snap count 181 there compared to 20 on defense. We got fixable issues on Defense; however, the Cowboys Must improve on those issues quick...
