Pros
Has some of the quickest feet of any cornerback in this draft class. He trusts his eyes and sees the field in its entirety, putting himself in the best position possible to make a play on the football. Hard to shake in any direction with his recovery quickness and sticky man coverage skills. Looks over his shoulder for the football comfortably without losing a feel for his man. Knows when to attack the ball at the high point as well as being able to swipe his hands in between the hands of the receiver when the ball is in position. Play strength and physicality at the POA is evident in both press coverage and run support despite his lack of technique. High-effort kind of player who rarely give up on a play if beat. Has shown elite special teams ability in punt coverage as a gunner.
Cons
Does not trust his technique and will start to get grabby when he feels like the receiver has a step on him. Hands are all over the place with his jam and is susceptible to getting beat right away by technician receivers at the LOS. May be considered a bit too physical when up close with the receiver and will get picked on by NFL referees as a result. Late to react and break on underneath routes. Willing open-field tackler, but his technique and wrap-up skills need plenty of work. Lunges too early as ball carriers are able to sidestep past him. Tries to shoulder tackle runners at full speed instead of breaking down and wrapping up.
