Follow me on Twitter @LawTalkShow Facebook @LawTalkRadio Elliott will almost assuredly be the first overall pick in all of your dynasty rookie drafts, but things get a bit murkier when attempting to rank him for dynasty startups and redraft leagues. Can we really trust a running back who has never played an NFL snap? What of last year’s starter Darren McFadden, or the money they spent on Lance Dunbar and Alfred Morris this offseason? I’m trying my hardest not to overreact to this selection, trying to temper my expectations and not fall victim to “hot take-itis”, but even as I attempt to be as shrewd as possible, I can’t help but want to rank him among my top five running backs in both dynasty and redraft leagues. Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is expecting to put up very big numbers this season. Asked on NFL Network where he should go in fantasy drafts, Gurley said there’s no question in his mind that he should be the top pick. “No. 1 overall for sure,” Gurley said. Gurley then hesitated slightly, saying Steelers receiver Antonio Brown or Panthers quarterback Cam Newton could go ahead of him, but Gurley is sure he’s going to be the NFL’s best fantasy running back this year. “You maybe could choose Antonio Brown over me, but no one else. Maybe Cam. That’s it,” Gurley said. Despite missing the first three games of his rookie season, Gurley had 229 carries for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns. This year, he’s confident those numbers will improve. Very confident. Check out complete article @ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/07/10/todd-gurleys-fantasy-advice-draft-me-first-overall/
